A 3D window tint simulator for your website
3D Cars Studio is a 3D window tint simulator for your website: customers pick their car, set the shade on every window, and send the quote request to you. It is for tint shop owners who want the simulator customers already know from film brands, on their own domain, with their own films.
Every window, its own shade
Windshield, front windows, rear windows and sunroof, set separately across seven film stops from 70% down to 5%.
A fair comparison
A clear-glass toggle shows the car with no film, so customers compare shades against the real starting point.
Four kinds of light
Shade, Indoors, Showroom and Direct Sun. Film reads differently in each, and the customer sees all four.
Factory glass counted
It accounts for how dark each vehicle's glass already is, so the shade on screen is the end result, not a guess.
Why do my customers already ask for a tint simulator?
Because the film brands taught them the word.
Film makers like XPEL, LLumar, SunTek and HITEK have put tint simulators on their own sites. A customer plays with one, then calls you asking what 20% will look like on their car.
That helps: the customer already gets the idea. What the brand simulator does not do is help your shop. It shows that one brand's films. It carries that brand's name. And when the customer is ready to move, it sends them to a dealer locator, where your shop sits in a list with everyone else who carries the film.
3D Cars Studio is the same kind of tool, built for the other side of the counter. It runs on your website, shows the films you install, and sends every quote request to your inbox. Same product idea, different intent: the brand wants to sell film, you want to book the car.
What changes when the simulator is on my website?
- Your film lineup. The customer compares the films you actually install, so the shade they pick is one you can put on the car.
- Your domain. The visitor stays on your site the whole time. Your brand is on the studio, with no vendor logo.
- Your leads. Every quote request goes to your inbox. Not to a platform, not to a film brand, and there is no per-lead fee.

What happened to the XPEL tint simulator?
When we checked, the page a lot of customers knew, xpel.com/tint-simulator, returned a 404 error. Film brands move, rename and retire these tools on their own schedule. Any shop that pointed customers to that page, or framed it on its own site, now has a dead link.

A simulator on your own domain is your page, not a link to someone else's. If you want full control, host it as static files yourself.
Is a simulator on my site really different from the film brand's?
| What matters | Simulator on your website | Film-brand simulator |
|---|---|---|
| Where it runs | Your domain and your counter | The manufacturer's site |
| Films shown | Your film lineup | One brand's films |
| Whose brand | Yours, no vendor logo | The film brand's |
| Where the lead goes | Your inbox | A dealer locator |
What does a customer actually do in it?
They open the studio on your site, on a phone or laptop. It runs in any modern browser, with no app and no login.
- They pick a vehicle. The public demo runs a Tesla Model Y (2025), a Tesla Model 3 (2025) and a Mercedes-Benz S-Class. Your build adds the vehicles your customers drive, and more can be added later.
- They set each window. Windshield, front windows, rear windows and sunroof each get their own shade, across seven film stops from 70% down to 5%, plus factory glass.
- They flip the clear-glass toggle to see the car with no film, then switch back, so the comparison is fair.
- They switch between Shade, Indoors, Showroom and Direct Sun, because film reads differently in each.
- They send you the quote request. It lands in your inbox.
California window tint law is built in. If your customers also ask about color, the same studio does color PPF in 18 gloss and satin films over the factory paint, plus clear and stealth finishes.
You can try the live tint simulator demo on the three demo vehicles right now. For the lobby side, see the showroom touchscreen for tint shops.
Does the simulator work in my lobby too?
Yes. Every build includes a touchscreen on a rolling stand, preloaded with your studio. It shows an attract screen when nobody is using it and resets itself when a customer walks away.
The same studio runs on your website, so a customer who starts at your counter can pick it up again at home.
How does it get onto my website?
- One line. Paste a single embed line into the page where you want it. That is an iframe, and it works on WordPress, Squarespace, Wix, Webflow and custom sites.
- Static files on your domain. Host the studio yourself, as plain files, on your own domain.
Either way it is live in 24 to 48 hours after you sign off on the look. If an agency runs your site, our page for agencies that build tint shop websites covers how they can add it.
What does a tint simulator for my website cost?
There are two ways to pay. A one-time lifetime license with no monthly fee, or a one-time activation plus a flat monthly plan. Neither charges per lead. Both include the build in your brand, your film lineup, the touchscreen and the website embed.
We quote the number on a 20-minute call, after you have seen the studio running on your own vehicles. The details are on the 3D Cars Studio pricing page.
Tint simulator questions
Is a tint simulator the same thing as a tint visualizer?
Yes. Film brands tend to say simulator, and plenty of shops say visualizer. It is the same idea: the customer picks a car, sets the shade on each window, and sees the result before they book. 3D Cars Studio answers to both names.
Can my simulator show my films instead of one brand's?
Yes. Your build carries your film lineup, set up in your brand. The customer compares the films you actually install, not a catalog from a manufacturer you may not carry.
Where do the quote requests go?
Straight to your inbox. Not to a platform, not to a film brand, and not to a dealer locator that lists the shop down the street next to yours. There is no per-lead fee.
Can I just embed a film brand's simulator on my site instead?
Some shops do. It still shows one brand's films under that brand's name, and the customer's next step is the brand's dealer locator rather than your inbox. If the brand moves or retires the page, your embed breaks with it: xpel.com/tint-simulator returned a 404 when we checked on 13 October 2026.
Which cars can customers try?
The public demo runs a Tesla Model Y (2025), a Tesla Model 3 (2025) and a Mercedes-Benz S-Class. Your build adds the vehicles your customers drive, and more can be added later.
How fast can it be live on my site?
24 to 48 hours after you sign off on the look. Your web person adds it in one line, or hosts it as static files on your own domain.
Put the simulator on your own site.
Twenty minutes on a call. We show the studio running on the vehicles your customers drive, then quote the number.
