An XPEL tint simulator alternative for your own tint shop website
3D Cars Studio is a 3D window tint and color PPF visualizer that runs on your shop's own website and on a touchscreen at your counter. It is for tint shops whose customers try tint on a film brand's simulator, from XPEL, LLumar, 3M, SunTek, Ceramic Pro or HITEK, and then land on that brand's dealer locator instead of your quote form.
What happened to the XPEL tint simulator?
XPEL used to host an automotive window tint simulator at xpel.com/automotive-window-tint-simulator. Today that address returns a 404 page. The 404 page sends visitors to XPEL's installer locator, its online shop and its dealer program. The Internet Archive holds copies of the old simulator from 2019 to 2022.
If you install XPEL film and linked customers to it, that link goes nowhere now. Below is what each other film-brand tool does today, and where it leaves your customer.
Checked 13 October 2026: xpel.com/automotive-window-tint-simulator returns 404. Archived copies: web.archive.org.
How do the LLumar, 3M, SunTek, Ceramic Pro and HITEK simulators work?
We opened each one and followed it to the end.
LLumar tint simulator
It lives on llumar.com, run by Eastman Performance Films. The customer picks a sedan, SUV, sport car or truck, chooses tint or PPF, picks the windows, then a LLumar film. The last button, Contact a Dealer, opens LLumar's dealer locator. One version ends in a dealer form instead, and sending it means agreeing to marketing email from Eastman. LLumar films only, on LLumar's domain.

SunTek tint simulator
Also Eastman, on the same viewer. Six vehicle types, tint or PPF, the windows to cover, then a SunTek film. It asks the customer to rank price, heat rejection, signal and appearance to help a SunTek dealer pick the film. The last button, Contact Your Dealer, goes to SunTek's dealer finder.

3M tint simulator
A page on 3m.com covering five 3M film series: Crystalline, Color Stable, Obsidian, FX HP and FX Premium. Pick a series and a shade, and a photo shows it on a car window. Each series links to 3M's installer finder. No 3D vehicle and no quote form.

Ceramic Pro visualizer
A page on ceramicpro.com for trying Ceramic Pro products on a vehicle. The tool loads from a third-party visualizer service set up for the ceramicpro.com domain. Around it, the site points customers to its Elite Dealer directory and its own free quote form.
HITEK tint and PPF simulator
HITEK runs its simulator on a separate site, hiteksimulator.com, marked Engineered by HITEK Films. It is a 3D studio with 11 vehicles, tint at 70, 50, 35, 20 and 5 percent, gloss, satin and matte finishes, wrap colors and four scenes. Of the five, it looks the most like a modern 3D configurator. When we checked, it had no quote form, no locator and no contact link, so a customer who likes what they see has no next step.
None of these pages describes a way for a shop to run the tool on its own domain, in its own brand, with requests going to its own inbox.

What does 3D Cars Studio do on each of those points?
Where it lives
On your domain. Your web person embeds it in one line, or hosts it as static files on your own domain. It works with WordPress, Squarespace, Wix, Webflow and custom sites, in any modern browser, with no app and no login. Every build also includes a touchscreen on a rolling stand for your lobby, preloaded, with an attract screen and an idle reset. A customer can start at your counter and finish at home.
Whose films
Yours. Windshield, front windows, rear windows and sunroof are set separately, across seven film stops from 70% down to 5%, plus factory glass. A clear-glass toggle keeps the comparison fair, and the studio accounts for each vehicle's factory glass darkness. California window tint law is built in. The color PPF visualizer adds 18 films in gloss and satin over the factory paint, plus clear and stealth. Four lighting environments: Shade, Indoors, Showroom and Direct Sun.
Whose brand
Yours. No vendor logo on it.
Where it ends
With a quote request in your inbox. Not on a platform, not with a film brand, and with no per-lead fee.
Which vehicles
The public demo runs a 2025 Tesla Model Y, a 2025 Tesla Model 3 and a Mercedes-Benz S-Class. Your build adds the vehicles your customers drive, and more later. Try the live 3D tint demo, or read how the 3D window tint visualizer for shops works.
Should I stop linking to the film brand's simulator?
Not always. The brand tools are free, and a fair way to learn one brand's lineup. But they are built to sell that brand's film and feed its dealer network. A customer who ends on a locator sees your shop next to every other dealer nearby, if your shop is listed at all.
If you carry more than one film, no single brand tool shows your whole lineup. And if XPEL is one of them, the XPEL link has nowhere to go today.

Film-brand simulator questions
Is there an XPEL tint simulator alternative I can put on my own website?
Yes. XPEL's old simulator page returns a 404 today. 3D Cars Studio runs on your shop's own domain, in your brand, with your film lineup, and every quote request goes to your inbox.
Can I embed the LLumar, SunTek or 3M tint simulator on my shop's site?
Their pages do not offer an embed or a version in your brand. Each one runs on the film brand's own domain and ends at that brand's dealer or installer finder.
Is the HITEK simulator a good fit for a shop website?
It is a good 3D tool for showing HITEK films on hiteksimulator.com. When we checked, it had no quote form or contact link, and no option to run it under your shop's name.
Where do the quote requests go with 3D Cars Studio?
To your inbox. Not to a platform, and not to a film brand. There is no per-lead fee.
What does it cost?
Two options: a one-time lifetime license with no monthly fee, or a one-time activation plus a flat monthly plan. No per-lead fee on either. We quote the number on a 20-minute call, after you see the studio on your own vehicles.
How fast can it replace the film-brand link on my site?
It goes live 24 to 48 hours after you sign off on the look. Your web person adds it in one line, or hosts it as static files on your own domain.
Put the simulator on your own site.
Twenty minutes on a call. We show the studio running on the vehicles your customers drive, then quote the number.
